Functieomschrijving
We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the foundation of both private and public cloud data services.
In this role, you will focus on the full operational lifecycle of data platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance in a growing environment.
Key Responsibilities;
- Operate & Maintain: Manage, configure, monitor, and maintain data services at enterprise scale
- Automation & Deployment: Develop and manage automated deployment pipelines and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Scalability & Reliability: Design for high availability, implement disaster recovery strategies, and ensure platforms scale efficiently with increasing demand
- Platform Engineering: Continuously improve the stability, performance, and resilience of the data platform
Functie-eisen
Required knowledge and experience
- Solid Linux experience
- Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL
- Experience with operating and scaling distributed systems or data platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven attitude
- Experience working in large-scale / enterprise environments (for senior candidates)
- Advanced expertise in MySQL or MariaDB
- Familiarity with technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, or Kafka
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Hybrid/remote working is possible, duration min. 12 months, with a rate between EUR 90 and 95 per hour, excl. VAT.
