Functieomschrijving
We are looking for a Database Engineer who will act as a bridge between development teams and platform infrastructure, with a strong focus on database performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities;
- Performance Optimization: Investigate and resolve query and system performance issues a
- Query Analysis: Support development teams with query tracing, tuning, and optimization
- Data Modeling: Provide guidance on efficient data structures, schema design, and best practices
- Database Engine Tuning: Analyze and optimize database engine behavior
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, platform engineers, and data specialists to ensure scalable and efficient solutions
Functie-eisen
Required knowledge and experience
- Solid experience with Linux and Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL
- Strong analytical skills in performance troubleshooting and optimization
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in high-scale / enterprise environments
- Advanced expertise in MySQL or MariaDB
- Familiarity with technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis or Kafka
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Hybrid/remote working is possible, duration min. 12 months, with a rate between EUR 90 and 95 per hour, excl. VAT.
