Our client Dufry is an international organisation based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. If you are a traveller you may know them from their duty-free and duty-paid departures and arrivals stores on one of the 420 (airport) locations. They have operations in 66 countries. Geographic diversification is a key element of the company’s strategy. Eindhoven is the location where their Financial Shared Services Center is located. This location processes all of the financial data (which is collected from all locations in the world). Job description
In this role you are responsible for coordinating and supporting the Financial Accountants in the Europe team (5-6 Accountants). You also ensure correct and timely IFRS accounting/ reporting for the entities within your scope. Some examples of the tasks are:
- Coordinate the Month end Closing activities and monitor progress
- Monitor reporting in SAP Group Reporting
- Directly manage and improve the Customer relationship and act as Level 1 escalation point in relation to the FSSC Stakeholders
- Monitor the overall performance and productivity of the team in his/her scope (KPIs)
- Ensure adherence to the Compliance regulations (Internal controls for GL processes for entities in his/her scope)
- Support the GL Business Process owner in implementing process standardization and improvements
- Monitor Balance Sheet reconciliations and review for all accounts
- Manage external relationships (Auditors, Tax authorities, etc.)
- Support Local Finance Managers in analyzing the financial results
- Participate in monthly flash calls
Job requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a sense of team spirit and strong social skills. Specific requirements are:
- Education on HBO level (Bachelor degree) or Master in Finance
- Have a valid work permit or EU passport
- 32-40 hours per week available
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of the core accounting processes, including AR, AP, GL and interfaces
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines
- Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)

- Salary € 4.250 - € 5.000 based on experience and education
