What are you going to do

As a Functional Application Manager PLM at Alfen, you are responsible for the continuity of their business applications and data collections. You will report to the Manager Business Applications. You will ensure that business processes are optimally supported by existing or new applications. You also play a crucial role in improving the organization by configuring and optimizing business processes and the related setup of their systems. You are involved in the creation, management, and modification of applications in response to changing technical or functional requirements or identified errors.

Other tasks and responsibilities:

  • Coördination of the rollout of new updates/releases of PLM and Engineering systems. This concerns the PTC suite (Windchill, Creo, Kepware, Thingworx), EPLAN, and Altium;
  • Providing expertise on PLM concepts, product structures, BOM management, workflows, etc;
  • Participation in various projects related to Product Lifecycle Management;
  • Administrator of the Incident and Change management process regarding PLM and Engineering systems;
  • Testing and implementing new functionalities;
  • Monitoring licenses, rights structure, integrations, and application performance;
  • Providing instructions and guidance to users.

You recognize yourself in the following profile

  • Bachelor or university level of wokring, preferable a completed education;
  • At least three years of experience with PLM (preferable PTC-suite);
  • Knowlegde of production- and engineering processes;
  • Experience with Agile way of working;
  • Excellent English language skills, Dutch is an advantage;
  • Analytical, creative, flexible, customer focussed and stress resistant.
