Job description

The Enterprise Data Architect plays a key role in defining how data is structured, governed, and integrated across business domains. The role involves close collaboration with governance leads, data stewards, solution architects, and project teams to ensure a scalable, high-quality data environment.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Define and maintain an enterprise-wide data architecture framework aligned with digital transformation goals.
  • Design and govern data domain models, reference architectures, and taxonomies to ensure consistency and interoperability.
  • Collaborate with governance leads and data owners to embed quality, stewardship, and metadata management in processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance on master data, metadata, reference data, and lineage across the organization.
  • Align system and integration architecture with enterprise data standards in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Guide the development of a cloud-based data platform, setting standards for ingestion, modeling, processing, and delivery.
  • Support modernization of legacy data systems and transition to secure, cloud-native environments.
  • Ensure architectural integrity in data-related initiatives across multiple programs and projects.
  • Oversee the organization’s data and analytics landscape to ensure scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Identify and promote emerging data, analytics, and AI technologies that align with the organization’s innovation strategy.

Job requirements

We are looking for someone with the following profile;

  • A strategic and structured thinker with experience leading enterprise data initiatives.
  • Capable of designing and evolving enterprise data architecture frameworks.
  • Experienced in creating standardized domain models and taxonomies.
  • Skilled at embedding governance, quality, and compliance into data processes.
  • Able to manage and oversee data standards across multiple platforms and integrations.
  • Experienced in cloud technologies and data platform governance, especially within modern tech stacks.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain architectural oversight.
  • Forward-thinking, with a strong interest in leveraging new technologies in AI, ML, and data analytics.

Remuneration

Duration 6-12 months, 32-40 hours per week, hourly rate depends on knowledge and experience.
