Sr System Engineer

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a modern hybrid IT environment that supports both cloud and on-premises solutions.

Responsibilities;

• Design, implement, and maintain hybrid IT infrastructure (Azure and on-premises);Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Deploy and maintain container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker);
• Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g. PowerShell, Azure, Terraform);
• Ensure system security, compliance, and monitoring across the environment;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support projects to modernize and improve IT infrastructure services;
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members.

We are looking for someone with;

• Several years of experience as a System Engineer, IT Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role;
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, hybrid environments, and on-premises infrastructure;
• Hands-on experience with VMware/Hyper-V, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker);
• Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform);
• Knowledge of identity management, networking, and security best practices;
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects;
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset;
• Full professional proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus);
