Cyber Security Officer (interim/freelance)

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of all aspects related to security operations.

Tasks;

• develop and implement a cyber security strategy (aligned with business goals);
• define a roadmap for security operation processes (e.g. incident management);
• manage the end-to-end vulnerability management process by leveraging external providers and managing communication channels with internal stakeholders;
• act as a point of contact for third parties, regarding cyber security;
• identify risks related to IT security in the technical environment, relationships with third parties, or any component of the company's operations;
• manage incident handling;
• maintain cyber threat situational awareness of internal and external threats and vulnerabilities;
• handle complex security events and incidents;
• provide evidence-backed analysis and advice on security-related matters;
• apply cybersecurity principles to organizational requirements;
• build and manage brand and threat intelligence programs;
• provide general cybersecurity support;
• measure effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.

We are looking for someone with;

• minimum of 5 years’ experience in the cyber/IT security industry;
• successful track record of effective project coordination, prioritization, collaboration, organization and timely project delivery;
• excellent understanding of security operations management;
• leadership in a fast paced, multi-stakeholder environment;
• experience executing in a cloud first technology organization;
• knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework or common attack and response methodologies;
• experience in using various Cybersecurity tools;
• experience with Agile Projects/ Project Management;
• experience with working in an international environment;
• BSc or MSc in computer science or a technology-related field;
• expertise / understanding of hacking & intrusion techniques and prior experience with security testing and system diagnostics;
• fluent in English.
